Holbeach

Holbeach is the third largest market down in The Fens and the largest parish in Lincolnshire due to re-claimed land in the middle ages.

Holbeach Technology Park specialises in the study of food and manufacturing technology and is part of the University of Lincoln.

The Mansion House built in the 18th Century stands in the centre of the town and was the birth place of nobel prize winner Norman Angel. Now the Mansion House offers accommodation, restaurant and cellar bar.

This year (2008) sees the 14th Annual Holbeach Vintage Rally. A display of vintage steam rollers, lorries, tractors and classic cars.

Holbeach has been voted amongst the ‘Best Kept Villages in Lincolnshire’ and has been commended several times in the Britain in Bloom Awards.

The town centre offers good shopping facilities with high street names such as Woolworths and Boots, along with individual shops offering homewares, crafts and unusual gifts, card shops, newsagents and locally famed Laddies Ice Cream shop !

Off Park Road is Carters Park and football ground home to Holbeach United Football Club.
