Lincolnshire Entertainment

So, you think you might be stuck for something to do while visiting the county? Well think again, because you shouldn't be!

There are simply loads of great events and activities which take place all over the county during the course of the year. This varies from regular weekly, monthly programmes and annual events to special and specialty one-off and seasonal events. There’s an absolute wealth of exciting things to do, regardless of what your interests might be.

Lincolnshire Entertainment really does offer so much to do and see in. You can enjoy a night at the theatre, take in a film, see a live show, go dancing, experience wonderful nature walks, follow the Epicurean trail or even be made welcome as a guest with one of the many clubs and associations across the county.

There are many excellent family fun parks, theme parks, farm attractions, animal sanctuaries and nature reserves, dotted around the county. There are local antique fairs, music, arts, theatre and food festivals held throughout the year.

For families with younger children, there are child-friendly farm parks, nature reserves and discovery centres, many having both indoor and outdoor facilities making them more weather-proof. The beach resorts, renowned for their family orientation, will always have something to keep busy minds and bodies active, regardless of the weather!

Those with an interest in the arts will find castles, manor houses, churches and art galleries galore, and you can even discover movie connections, such as the Da Vinci Code.

For the more active visitor, there are miles of golf courses, all with a friendly welcome awaiting the visitor. And if you are an angler, you have the choice of lake, river, sea or even pond fishing.

Or if you prefer a non-involved sporting day out, a day at the races at Market Rasen, one of the country’s premier racecourses, could be just for you.

Some of the other top Lincolnshire entertainment includes, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre, numerous RAF bases dotted throughout the county, Gainsborough Old Hall, Grantham Museum, Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Cathedral, Cadwell Park Louth, the Hub Sleaford, Stamford Museum and the Museum of Lincolnshire Life (which is the largest and most diverse community museum in the county).
